The Kuwait Aviation Services Company is pleased to announce an opening for the position of Senior Executive Chef – Flight Catering Department, subject to the following requirements.
Role Profile
Role Title: Senior Executive Chef
Department: Flight Catering Department
Job Purpose
Managing activities related to meal production, inspecting raw food materials, storing them according to established schedules, and ensuring the quantity of meals produced aligns with the daily schedule.
In this role, you will be responsible for key performance areas and responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:

Following up on the activities carried out by staff in the hot and cold kitchens, bakery, and pastry sections, and food preparation of all kinds to ensure that meals are produced according to set specifications, and carrying out supervisory duties authorized by their presence at the work site.

Reviewing and approving requests for raw food materials from the main store and ensuring their suitability for meal preparation according to the production plan and the requirements of airline schedules and external commitments.

Monitoring the preparation of raw food materials for meal production and the items required for the canteen, reviewing the schedules prepared by staff, ensuring they are implemented as specified, and verifying that the number of workers is adequate for each shift.

Overseeing the production of meals required for various airline flights, cafeterias, and other commitments in the correct quantity and on time, while establishing a daily production plan to avoid confusion and delays.

Guiding staff in the production area on proper cooking methods and giving instructions on alternative methods for improvement and development.

Providing the production area with new food specifications to enhance the quality of food products.

Assisting in the preparation and setup of all food and beverage menus.

Supporting the unit head in developing the required work plan.

Implementing HACCP procedures and other ISO standards, as well as occupational safety regulations.

Offering suggestions that contribute to improving and developing the workflow.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
Job Requirements:

Educational Qualification: University degree
-
Minimum of 12 years’ relevant experience.

Proficiency in English and Arabic (both spoken and written).
Additional Requirements:

Specialized training courses in the field of cooking

Ability to manage activities related to meal production, inspect raw food materials, and store them according to established schedules, as well as ensure that the number of meals produced aligns with the daily schedule

Ability to prepare periodic reports
