The Kuwait Aviation Services Company is pleased to announce an opening for the position Supervisor Purchasing in the Purchasing & Stores Department, subject to the following requirements.
Role Profile
Role Title: Supervisor Purchasing
Department: Purchasing & Stores Department
Job Purpose
In this role you will be responsible for tasks related to monitoring the selection and storage of raw materials, ensuring the implementation of hygienic practices, supervising periodic inspections across production activity sectors, and overseeing production processes to ensure products meet required specifications at each stage in accordance with the company’s approved quality control instructions.
In this role, you will be responsible for key performance areas and responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:

Participate in selecting raw food materials received by the Aircraft Catering Department and Catering Projects Department according to company procedures.

Ensure proper storage of raw food materials in warehouses and refrigeration areas according to health and safety standards followed by the company.

Ensure the application of general health and safety standards in food storage as per company policies.

Conduct periodic inspections of production activity sectors to verify compliance with health and safety standards.

Monitor health and safety standards concerning the cleanliness and storage of uniforms for catering staff in aircraft catering and catering projects.

Perform process monitoring of production operations to ensure products meet required specifications according to quality control instructions.

Recommend stopping any defective product from continuing on the production line and report the reasons to the immediate supervisor.

Advise the immediate supervisor on handling cases of non-conformance according to corrective procedures followed by the company.

Submit recommendation reports to the immediate supervisor on necessary preventive actions.

Monitor the compliance of work procedures with the company’s approved standards.
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
Job Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, or Accounting.

Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience.
Additional Requirements:
-
Proficiency in computer applications and automated systems, particularly programs related to procurement and inventory management.

Proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
-
Ability to negotiate and interact with clients.

Ability to process purchase requests from various departments and the stores unit, and follow up to ensure tasks are completed according to the approved budget.
