The Kuwait Aviation Services Company is pleased to announce an opening for the position Demi Chef of in the Catering Projects, subject to the following requirements.
 
Role Profile
Role Title: Demi Chef
Department: Catering Projects
 
Job Purpose
 
Responsible for overseeing food production and ensuring that all meals are prepared according to established plans, including correct portion sizes and recipes.
 
In this role, you will be responsible for key performance areas and responsibilities, including but not limited to the following:
 
  • Supervise staff in hot and cold kitchens, bakery, and pastry sections to ensure meals are prepared according to required specifications, and perform supervisory tasks assigned by the position at the workplace.
  • Receive primary food material orders from the main store, check their suitability for meal preparation, and oversee their storage in production refrigerators according to instructions from the Quality Control and Laboratory Office.
  • Prepare and organize all food and beverage menus, and work on developing and innovating new menu items.
  • Supervise the preparation of primary food materials for required meals and canteen supplies, identifying any shortages.
  • Coordinate and allocate production tasks and schedules based on the defined flight schedules.
  • Monitor production to ensure it proceeds according to the established plans, including portion sizes and recipes.
  • Prepare responses to the Sales Unit regarding daily NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports).
 
  • Request daily production area requirements from the stores as needed.
  • Communicate with Operations and Dispatch to ensure delivery and receipt of required product quantities for each flight.
  • Monitor and sign off on CCP (Critical Control Points) records.
 
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following requirements:
 
Job Requirements:
  • High School Certificate.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience.
 
Additional Requirements:
  • Specialized cooking courses.
  • Ability to supervise staff in hot and cold kitchens, bakery, and pastry sections to ensure meals are prepared according to required specifications, and to carry out supervisory tasks assigned by the position at the workplace.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
